Golf Photos

Recently, my good friend Jon helped me with some golf photos I wanted to take. Before the shoot, we talked about the details and got everything worked out. I normally always make a checklist of things that need to be completed and brought along with me before I good out on the actual shoot. On this shoot I forgot to bring a flashlight which is something I cannot believe I forgot. Not a huge deal though, I set up my gear using my cell phone as a flashlight.

We took the photos out the course at night, guiding ourselves between strobe flashes with cell phones and moonlight. Everything seemed to go fine. We finished a set of photos, I packed up my studio lights, stands, camera bag with lenses (all of which were sitting near me the whole time) and we strapped it on the golf cart and got ready to head back to the clubhouse. Just as we were ready to go, the sprinkler system turned on in the exact place that we were just taking photos.

I am very much aware that golf courses have sprinkler systems, but it was not something I had thought of when planning this shoot. So, with my dry camera gear safely in the cart with us, we headed back to the clubhouse after having some nervous laughter about our close-call.

Here are a few rough images from the shoot. Completed photos will be on my website soon.
